Fare Thee Well, Mayor Wynn: Top Five Non-City-Hall Moments

In honor of Mayor Will Wynn's last day in office, Austinist compiled these top five lighter moments from his eight-year-long tenure. As News 8 reports, Wynn plans to stick around Austin and will be working for a Dallas-based energy firm, so, you know, you'll totes be able to hang out with him at Key Bar.

4. Wynn Appears in Esquire Spread

In a photo feature on the nation's top mayors, Wynn puts on a $2,500 Prada suit and likens his involvement with the downtown construction boom to "Napoleon bulldozing medieval Paris."

3. Wynn Takes On Construction Traffic

When a construction truck cut off traffic in front of the Monarch development, Wynn stepped up to the project superintendent and was two karate kicks away from pulling a Chuck Norris.

2. Mayor Will Wynn and the Gold-Digging Hoochie Mamas

One anonymous Craigslist admirer wishes Wynn wasn't "surrounded by big-haired, fake-breast-having hoochie mamas" so that she might get a chance to flirt with him at a local television premiere party.

    I was hoping his SxSW day party speech would be up there. I've watched it a few times and love it. Not many towns would have a mayor come out and do that and pull it off!

    Tuesday nights at Mother Egan's, one round often read by Will Wynn. He'd come by and check answers, only telling us if something was wrong. It was sweet.
