Sally Jacques, visionary dynamo behind Blue Lapis Light, is at it again. Jacques, known and loved for her astonishing site-specific performances, is again working with dancers, rappellers, lighting/sound designers and riggers for a performance that "speaks to the fragility of our times: the need to be aware of the significance and beauty of each moment and to guide and accept the shifts in being."

The performers will fly and through the air around the 150-foot-tall J.J. Pickle Federal building, and the event promises to be a stunner. In the past, the air dancers have also performed at, among other locations, the historic Seaholm Power Plant downtown, the former Intel building, and floating along the outside of the Hyatt Regency.

The fundraiser show tomorrow is pricey, yes, but includes hors d'oeuvres, wine and live music and a chance to support yet another of those unique Austin institutions that keep the place you-know-what. But even if you're on a tight budget, no need to miss it—June 21st is pay-what-you-can night.
