Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band at the Mohawk

Seattle's Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band will be stopping by The Mohawk tonight as part of their tour of their summer tour.

The band's sound brings together the aggressiveness At the Drive-In with dynamics and an overall approach closer to smart proggy indie rock like their friends Pattern is Movement. The group made fans during their stint in Austin during SXSW, and they're back to take the stage once more.

Joining the headliners will be The Little Gentlemen, a rock-centric local group who formed after meeting at UT. Also performing will be the heavy-rocking duo The Vitamins. Featuring drummer Erik Conn and guitarist Jamey Simms, their performance should blow a few minds. Last up is Pink Nasty, a scene veteran originally from Kansas who crafted one of 2006's best local releases in Mold the Gold.
