Scaffolding Accident in West Campus

Four construction workers from the 21 Rio project were on scaffolding which partially collapsed this afternoon. Two of the men fell about eleven stories to their deaths, with a third dying later in the hospital. The fourth man sustained only minor injuries. So far the cause of the scaffolding collapse is unknown. [Statesman]

This is terrible news and my thoughts go out to their families and friends.

I live just down the street from the 21 Rio. The construction seems like it'll never end. I've even been hit by falling debris on my way to class when i was walking down 21st street. It felt like a paintball x1000. It left a huge welt and lots of bleeding

Hopefully they'll figure out what caused the scaffolding collapse. It seems like they need to do more so they'll have a safer work site

I hate to knit pick, but...the title is wrong. It should say Scaffolding Accident IN West Campus, not on West Campus.

That's what I get for writing this while trying to watch "So You Think You Can Dance". (Also, it's technically "nitpick", as in picking nits, ewww.)
