Austinist Presents: Grizzly Bear With Here We Go Magic
We've enjoyed watching Grizzly Bear's development from lo-fi campfire folksingers with their debut, Horn of Plenty, to well-polished studio dynamites on this year's Veckatimest. Yellow House (2007) tuned the band to a melancholic melody, pushing them forward and further defining their unique sound. Since then, full-time bear Dan Rossen has taken off on his own with Department of Eagles, proving there's no shortage of folk-fused pop in the group. All this success and quality brought anticipation for this year's Veckatimest to fever pitch; tickets sold out for June 16th's show at the Parish room (with Here We Go Magic, alumni of our 2009 SXSW day party) before the album was even released. Chances are, you missed the boat, so we're pleased to offer a few chances to attend the show regardless of your ticket-buying trigger finger.
Fill out the form below and cross your fingers. We'll notify 4 winners of their lucky break the week of the show. Good luck!
