Waller Hollering Creek

The Waller Creek Citizen Advisory Committee invites members of the community to attend a Master Plan Workshop on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. It will be held at the Austin Convention Center in Ballroom C.

The meeting will include a presentation of existing Waller Creek conditions and a brief presentation of the flood control project. In addition, the Consultant will lead a general discussion of the community's desires for activities along the Creek and within the District, potential character, and private development along the Creek.

Participation in the visioning session is essential to generating a master plan supported by the community. At this event, you will have a chance to share your thoughts on the future of Waller Creek with ROMA and City of Austin planners. You will also be able to visit with the tunnel design team and learn how this engineering marvel will provide effective flood protection. For more information, call 512-974-3462 or visit http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/wallercreek/calendar.htm.

The Waller Creek Citizen Advisory Committee invites all citizens to discuss the ways to get rid of all music on Red River. The current plan is to turn the Red River district into a San Antonio style riverwalk with chain stores. After the property values rise we can finally buy out all the music venues and replace them with overpriced neo-yuppie retail establishments and more high rise condos.
