Reminder: Bands Wanted for our Special Yacht Rock Austinist Indieroke & Hoot Night!

Austinist Indieroke returns this month for a very special edition. On Wednesday the 27th, as always at The Mohawk, come on down and perform your favorite 70’s soft rock ditties. Be it Toto, Kenny Loggins, Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, or Christopher Cross, we want to hear your best rendition of a classic smooth jam.

As we mentioned earlier this month, we’re looking for some bands interesting in doing short 15-20 minute sets of their favorite classics as well. We have a couple lined up already (we will have a backline as well) but there’s still a few slots open. Send us an email at music@austinist.com with the information specified below.

Bands: To be considered for a slot in the lineup, all you have to do is email us and tell us a little about yourselves, and what songs you'd be interested in playing. Each band can play up to three songs on a shared backline.

We’ll have prizes (Indieroke t-shirts, records, and more), a photobooth (so please dress up as a choice 70’s Yacht Rock legend), and drink specials like “Gold Dust Woman” (Goldschlager) and “Don’t Stop Believin’” (Red Bull & Vodka).
