Fledgling event producers The Lone Star Ladies are organizing Shop Austin!, an independent craft, design, and art showcase that will take place on Saturday at Saengerrunde Hall. Participating vendors include jewelry artist Christine Terrell of Adaptive ReUse, belt buckle creator Lucy Blue, and mixed media and fine art painter Sarah Fox. The event will hopefully fill some of the void left by the temporary disbanding of the fabulous Stitch craft and fashion show (please come back soon!). This weekend's Shop Austin! will feature over thirty vendors, complimentary facials, a cupcake cafe from Hey Cupcake!, food from Greenling, and chair massages.

The Lone Star Ladies are a dynamic duo of Texan sisters, Anne Marie Beard and Allison Beard Wall. A proud Austinite, Ann Marie is herself a crafter with a BA in Costume Design from UT; she will be showing and selling her carefully created handbags at the event. Allison brings business savvy to Shop Austin!, and both sisters hope that their passion and talents result in regular events that prove successful for both local shoppers and vendors.

Tickets to Shop Austin! cost $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The event takes place on Saturday and runs from 11am to 5pm. The first thirty shoppers (who are 18 and over) will receive a goodie bag filled with items donated from participating vendors and sponsors. Coupons and giveaway items are valued at over $300!

Congratulations to our ticket giveaway winners!
