Gravy makes everything a little bit tastier, a little bit more fun to eat. Imagine how sad a Thanksgiving day feast would be without that savory, kitchen-bouquet-scented sauce, or how joyless the life of a biscuit would be without its trusty friend and dressing.
Gravy, in both its literal and figurative forms, is what Threadgill's North location will be serving up all week long at supper time as they offer the good public of Austin not one, not two, but seven nights of free food to commemorate their grand reopening after a three month renovation. Seriously. According to Addie Broyles at the Statesman, Threadgill's owner Eddie Wilson announced the sweet deal this morning on 107.1 KGSR and it is also featured on the inside cover of this month's INsite Magazine.
As with anything this good, there are a couple of rules that go along with it: you can choose between Chicken Fried Steak, Chicken Fried Chicken, Mississippi Fried Catfish, or a Vegetable Plate (Broccoli Rice Casserole!), the offer is only available at Threadgill's North location and you can only partake in their generosity one time (that means don't go all seven nights, people). Besides that, there are no strings attached, so we suggest that you get yourself over to 6416 North Lamar Blvd. between 4-10pm and get yourself a little gravy.
