Unfortunately, our tasty cultural cocktail is lacking one key ingredient that would make us all that much more pleasantly buzzed. The missing element? Live hip-hop. So, thank god Too Short is coming to the Mohawk with some much needed seasoning for our rap-deprived city.
He's not going to be alone. A host of artists with intentionally oblique names will be coming out to aid him in what is sure to be a booty-bumping bacchanal to rival anything else going on this Saturday evening. Don't be the only rube in your duplex to not catch N/A Productions, Mutual Trust, Traygod, Global 74, Phranchyze (our favorite honorific, by far), Tee Double and their fearlessly famous leader crammed into the Mo' tomorrow night. For many of us, dulled numb by self-conscious indie, it will be an eye-opening experience. Straight up cold appreciatin'. Follow the jump for a chance to win tickets.

Austinist's Will Mills Gets Dunked For Charity [Video]

A few years back, I had a crappy job at the state. One morning, I was running a few minutes late. As I fast-walked from the parking garage to the building's front door, I heard a faintly-familiar beat behind me. I was in a hurry, but I strained to hear an old school beat that brought back memories of happier times.
Whoah! It was Freaky Tales. I turned around to see the guy playing it as he pulled into the parking garage. It was nice to know that there was more than one true player working for the state...
