Moonlight Towers, Frank Smith, Nathan Hamilton at the Continental Club

Ready to roots-rock out? If so, please head down to the Continental Club tonight for a trio of folk and blues-based rock bands all based here in Austin. Singer-songwriter Nathan Hamilton appears first, followed by Frank Smith. A band featuring no one named Frank Smith, this four-piece throws in everything from banjos to harmonicas to get their alt-country point across. Headlining this evening are the Moonlight Towers, sons of Paul Westerberg’s cleaner recordings. During this time last year the band was gearing up for shows with The Hold Steady and Blind Melon, but we haven’t heard much from them since. Perhaps they’ve got big plans for us in the near future, though this is the only show they appear to have scheduled for now.
