American Airlines Expands In-Flight Wifi; Austin Flights Likely Included
People flying out of Austin-Bergstrom on American Airlines will likely be able to send email, update their Facebook status, and watch YouTube videos following the airline's announcement yesterday that it is expanding its in-flight wifi program.
American has been testing Internet capability on some flights since August. Now the company plans to install in-flight internet access on more than 300 planes over the next two years.
Prices for the service range from $7.95 for people using handheld devices, to $9.95 for flights three hours or less and $12.95 for flights longer than three hours.
