Cyclist Struck in Downtown Hit and Run Last Friday

Photographer David Weaver happened to be nearby when an early 2000's Black Pontiac GT struck a male cyclist at Lavaca and 5th Street on Friday evening. Witnesses reported that the car continued down the street after hitting the cyclist, even running a red light at Colorado, most likely in an attempt to flee the scene. Though license plate information was given to the police, anyone with helpful information should call 512-974-5000. The incident occurred around approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday, March 27.
