Tito to Host Fancy Vodka-Inspired Dinner at Z Tejas

Here's your chance to meet the guy behind Central Texas' award-winning vodka while enjoying some truly recession-be-damned fine cuisine: Tito himself is hosting a special Tito's Vodka Dinner at Z' Tejas on Tuesday, April 7 at 7 p.m.

The five-course meal starts off with hand-cut farmer's market gazpacho and scallop ceviche, paired with a "Golden Mary" (yellow tomato juice instead of red). From there, it's a slow descent into depraved decadence, with the main courses including pan-seared black drum, crispy chile-crusted duck breast, and pork carnitas—accompanying drinks will incorporate everything from agave nectar and while Texas guajillo honey syrup to housemade bitters and habanero gastrique. It all finishes with a chocolate bread pudding with Blue Bell ice cream alongside a chilled "drinking" chocolate spiked with Tito's, which they're calling Montezuma's Reverie.

Tickets are $60 per person including tax and gratuity, and will sell out fast. RSVP to kimberlyg@ztejas.com.
