  • Festival organizers have launched a YouTube channel, where you can see film trailers, panels and interviews, or music videos. There's plenty to browse on there now, and the SXSW team plans to update the site with new videos throughout the festival.

  • Austin's Bruce Sterling always puts his distinctive stamp on SXSW Interactive, whether it's through his mind-blowing talks or blowout parties. He'll have one more thing to talk about this year in his March 16 session: his new book, The Caryatids, just showed up in bookstores.

  • Entrepreneur Peter Kim, who is building a social media company with the support of Austin Ventures, will be part of the "My Boss Doesn't Get It: Championing Social Media to the Man" on March 13. Kim is putting his social money where his mouth is, posting links on his blog to an area map, his my.SXSW profile, Twitter account, and party invitations.
