No Idea Festival 2009
Thursday, February 26th - Saturday, February 28th
Blue Theatre (916 Springdale Ave)
$10-20 dollars per show, $25 for Festival pass. 8:00 pm
[info]

Now in its seventh year, the No Idea Festival has expanded once again to bring improvised music to select locales - Austin, San Antonio, Ft. Worth, Houston, and New Orleans - by selectively combining the talents of musicians from Austin to Zurich in collaborative, live performance.

Like last year, the Austin arm of the festival will take place at the Blue Theater. Artists include local percussionist Chris Cogburn, poet Melanie Noel from Seattle, Jason Kahn, a Zurich-based percussionist and electronic musician, and more.

For $25, you can purchase a festival pass that will grant you entrance to all three days of the Austin shows, and purchasing said pass is as easy as sending your money to
"tenpoundstothesound@yahoo.com" through paypal. The passes will then be available at the door of the events (include your name in the transaction).

Otherwise, admission to each event is on a sliding scale of 10-20 dollars. You can see footage of and download music from last year's festival right here.
