Leonard Cohen Playing Long Center on April 2!

As Corcoran scooped in late January, American folk icon Leonard Cohen is returning to Austin on April 2 to perform at the Long Center.

Cohen, who played his first US show in over a decade and a half last night in New York City, is embarking on a North American tour that winds through Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles. He'll be accompanied by a full band, which includes Grammy Award-winning bassist (and Texan) Roscoe Beck.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, February 27 at 10 a.m., and can be purchased online, at the Box Office, or by calling 512-474-5664.

Awesome, I had considered going to the philip glass poem thing, but I was actually hoping for the real deal.

I hate to be that guy, but Leonard Cohen is not American.

Mostly, I'm just bitter because I'll be out of town that weekend. :( Could you do that thing where you call me during the best song and hold the phone up in the air, Allen?

Somebody beat me to it but, Leonard is Canadian. I wish we could claim him and his greatness.
