Gil Mantera, Ultimate Donny and A.E. Paterra make up the Party Dream, an indie electronica dance frenzy group that are prone to stripping down to their man-thongs, getting all liquored up and shoving beer bottles in an orifice that isn’t the mouth. It’s sometimes painful to watch and over the top, but at the same time a bit melodic, hilarious and fun. Imagine Reggie and the Full Effect on a rave bender somehow transported back to the mid-'80s. But wait, you won’t have to imagine. Just come to Emo’s inside Friday, and there will be plenty of the Party Dream to go around.

Come early to catch Austin foursome The Laughing. The inclusion of the organ and saxophone in their moody but danceable club rock does well not to over power, but instead gives just what’s expected never wearing out the welcome. Earfarm went so far as to declare them one of the top 10 bands to watch in 2009. Local funky electro MC/singer Neiliyo will start things off with beats, a Technotronic sample or two and a healthy sense of humor.
