SXSW Official Schedule Announced: Here's Some Bullet Points

The full schedule is pretty dense, so we've tried to filter it down just a bit for the casual browser. No worries, we'll be posting all the free parties too - including links to maps and RSVP forms soon. For all the (official) info, visit sxsw.com/music.

  • Aces Lounge will host Fastball and Mahjongg on the same bill.
  • Back Alley Social and Fuze will host an entire evening of hip-hop, featuring Zion I, Doomtree, Brother Ali and others.
  • We like the Ruby Coast, and they'll be at BD Riley's along with Turbowolf, the Transpersonals and others.
  • The Beauty Bar seems like a pretty solid place to camp out for wristband folks (and those w/o wristbands probably already know about hanging out in the back parking lot, right?) of the indie persuasion. Fol Chen, DM Stith, Rafter, LAKE, No Kids, Tara Jane O'Neil and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone among others will perform between inside and out.
  • That KCRW show we mentioned earlier with Port O'Brien and School of Seven Bells will happen at Buffalo Billiards.
  • Central Presbyterian Church will host M Ward, Camera Obscura, St Vincent, Department of Eagles and Anni Rossi.
  • Gary Clark Jr. will headline a pretty legit blue lineup at the Continental Club.
  • The Copa will have a truly international lineup with bands from India, Pakistan, Russia, Uzbekistan and the UK (Surinder Sandhu Band).
  • Emo's Inside will have the Leafy Green showcase with DD/MM/YYYY, Vetiver, Larkin Grimm and others.
  • Habana Bar will have a punk show, including our favorites, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb.
  • Headhunters is an official venue this year, and their Wed. will include the Black Diamond Heavies.
  • The Hideout will have an all-Austin lineup including Brazos, Canopy, Weird Weeds and more.
  • Check out Rademacher at the Independent.
  • Aqualung will headline at Latitude 30.
  • The Mohawk will have a primarily electronic and hip-hop based evening with Christopher Willits, Bavu Blakes, Neckbonethe Chap, Dosh (Andrew Bird's collaborator/drummer) and Yoni Wolf (of WHY?).
  • The Music Gym is an official venue (in its first year of existence) and will host the Strange Boys, Aun and the Heavenly States.
  • Dan Auerbach, Jessica Lea Mayfield and Holly Golightly will be at the Parish.
  • These Arms are Snakes will be at Red Eyed Fly.
  • Room 710 will host the Australian Cattle God showcase with an all Texas lineup including 710 regulars like Lick Lick, Pong, and the Good Times Crisis Band.
  • My Education and Maserati will be at the Soho Lounge.
  • NPR's gig at Stubb's will be headlined by the Decemberists.

  • Buffalo Billiards will have Tallest Man on Earth and Benjy Feree.

  • Cedar Street Courtyard will have Black Lips, Primal Scream and Delta Spirit.

  • Elvis Perkins, Grizzly Bear and Amanda Palmer will be at the Central Presbyterian Church.

  • The Western Vinyl showcase will feature J Tillman, Here We Go Magic and Balmorhea at Club 115.

  • The Memphis Music Foundation will party at the Dirty Dog Bar, featuring Lucero and the Bar-Kays, among others.

  • Emo's will be legit, hosting the Dirty Projectors, Wild Light, Passion Pit, the Carrots, Peter, Bjorn & John and Datarock.

  • Efterklang and a Hawk & a Handsaw will be at Habana Bar.

  • Lil John and Tori Amos will be at La Zona Rosa.

  • ecretly Canadian/Jagjaguwar/Dead Oceans will take over the Mohawk with Mt St Helens Vietnam Band, Richard Swift, Akron/Family and others.

  • Prague will present the Absolutely Kosher showcase with +/- and the Wrens.

  • Radio Room (formerly Bourbon Rocks) will have Blitzen Trapper, Tiny Vipers, Handsome Furs, No Age, Grand Archives and more.

  • Red 7 and Post Present Medium will have Total Abuse and Abe Vigoda inside, with the Heeb Magazine/Other Music party outdoors featuring Harlem Shakes, Telepathe and Chairlift.

  • Scoot Inn will have Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek) and Pete Rock.

  • Stubb's will have Andrew Bird and Ben Harper (!)

  • The Carpark party at Volume will host Dent May and Beach House.

  • 18th Floor at Hilton Garden Inn will host Shearwater, Tom Brousseau and David Thomas Broughton.

  • The Billions Corporation will have their showcase at Antone's with Wildbirds and Peacedrums, Dent May, Mirah and NOMO.

  • The Austin Music Hall will have the big BMI thing with DEVO, the Black and White Years and Tricky.

  • Cedar Street Courtyard will provide your second chance to see Peter Bjorn & John, along with Pete and the Pirates.

  • Silver Apples will be at the Continental Club.

  • Emo's will have Black Lips, Crystal Stilts, King Khan & the Shrines and more.

  • Esther's Follies will have a long night of comedy including acts by Janeane Garofalo, Todd Barry, Eugene Mirman, Margaret Cho, Dax Shepard and more.

  • The Felice Brothers, Deer Tick and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will be at Habana.

  • The Polyvinyl showcase will be at the Habana Calle 6 spot, featuring Cale Parks, Loney Dear and Asobi Seksu.

  • Headhunters will have a pretty awesome lineup, we're stoked about Japanther and the Teeners.

  • The Scottish Arts Council will be at Lambert's with Primal Scream and Glasvegas.

  • Momo's will have Thao and the Get Down Stay Down along with locals T-Bird & the Breaks.

  • The Constant Artists showcase at the Parish will host Okkervil River and the Paper Chase, as well as I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness, who haven't played in Austin in well over a year.

  • White Denim, Micah P. Hinson, School of Seven Bells and Cursive will be at the Radio Room.

  • Red 7 will host the Queers.

  • Smokin' Music presented by Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company (514 Trinity) will have the New York Dolls

  • YACHT will be at the Speakeasy.

  • Catch The Silversun Pickups and the Duke Spirit at Antone's.
  • B.o.B, Tech N9ne and Bazaar Royale will be at Austin Music Hall.
  • Beauty Bar will have Harlem, Golden Boys, Willowz, Illinois and Jana Hunter.
  • The Viva Radio/American Apparel party will be at Club Deville, and it will feature Iran, Colourmusic, Ponytail and Titus Andronicus.
  • The Proclaimers will be at Creekside at Hilton Garden Inn! Marcy Playground will be at Cedar Street Courtyard!
  • Headhunters will be all-local with Eagle Claw, Ringo Deathstarr and Amplified Heat.
  • Give Houston a chance at the Load/Dull Knife party at the Independent: Rusted Shut, White Mice and Future Blondes will be there.
  • Dressy Bessy at Lamberts.
  • Mohawk will host Monotonix (again), Mae Shi and HEALTH.
  • The AustinTexas.org party at Momo's will feature Dan Dyer, Patrice Pike and Drew Smith's Lonely Choir.
  • Perry Farrell will be at Pangea, of all places.
  • The Parish will host Ra Ra Riot, the Wooden Birds (ex-American Analog Set) and Lou Barlow with Imaad Wasif.
  • Radio Room Patio: the Dim/Mak thing with MSTRKRFT.
  • Justin Townes Earle at Red 7.
  • Echo and the Bunnymen at Rusty Spurs (405 E 7th St).
  • Stubb's will host Indigo Girls and PJ Harvey (and a whole lotta estrogen).
  • Graham Reynolds, Gabriel Prokofiev and The Elysian Quartet (UK) will be performing at the Tap Room at 6.
  • Second chance for Eugene Mirman and Matt Bearden to be had at the Velveeta Room!
