Has it really been four years since those first tedious video diaries, clips of theremin-playing kitties and bootlegged SNL sketches began showing up en masse online? YouTube, you have changed our lives, from expanding our minds to insulting our intelligence.

The Church of the Friendly Ghost is throwing their own shindig in honor of the little online video service that could, which they're doing up in their own experimental way. Six bands will perform at the Salvage Vanguard Theater, accompanied by visual work by Paul Barker which will, of course, include "live-real-as-can-be YouTube feedback loops and other ocular stimulants."

Bill Baird assembled the line-up, and his band Sunset will also be celebrating the release of a new "7 called Loveshines II. Folk rocker David Israel is also listed to play, as are the experimental quartet The Weird Weeds, the herky-jerky Reverse X-Rays, San Marcos' Silver Pines, and the lovely Balmorhea.

Keg beer, cake, and fun are all promised as well.
