KCRW Announces SXSW Showcase [School of Seven Bells, More]
Southern California's KCRW (home of Morning Becomes Eclectic) has announced their SXSW showcase, taking place at Buffalo Billiards on Wednesday evening. The lineup is solid, featuring experi-psych darlings School of Seven Bells, as well as Port O'Brien, Ida Maria, Other Lives, Boat People and Angus & Julia Stone.
During the music festival, KCRW will have a steady presence downtown, broadcasting live from Tequila Mockingbird's studios off Guadalupe. Morning Becomes Eclectic will broadcast live from 11 am to 2 pm (CST), and will feature some in-studio performances yet to be announced. These sessions appear to be open to press folks who would like to visit, but non-press badge-less fans can get everything on the web -- they'll be streaming everything at KCRW.com. Badgeholders are invited to join the station again for the 7th annual Revenge of Cedar Street daytime showcases on March 19, 20, and 21 from noon to 6 pm at the Cedar Street Courtyard. Confirmed acts include Razorlight, NASA, Wild Light, Other Lives, Rye Rye, Hockey, Black Gold and more.
Keep checking Austinist as more free day show announcements are made in addition to these official events. We'll be your one-stop source for non-badged music fans from here and ... out there.
