Three words changed indie-rock forever: Neutral. Milk. Hotel. And if that random sequence means nothing to you, then your taste in music has been limping along for well over a decade since In the Aeroplane Over The Sea broke everyone's minds and left us weeping on the linoleum, sputtering out tall tales about how crazy Jeff Mangum actually went, and tearing our hair out over what couldn't possibly be the only, holy draught we would get of that singularly satisfying elixir. Tonight is as close as you're probably gonna get to that greatness, when former members of that legendary troupe climb on stage at the Mohawk, most notably Julian Koster founder of the group and one of the Elephant Six collective's progenitors. So bring some scissors to cut pieces off the tunics of prosaically named The Music Tapes. Nana Grizol and Brian Dewan open.
