John and Paul. Mick and Keith. Roger and Pete. None of those famous duos are actually coming to Austin this spring, but you want to know who are turning up? Bret and Jemaine, aka Hip-Hopopotamus and Rhymenoceros, aka winner of the fake 2008 Grammys for best New Zealand act and best manager and the actual 2008 Grammy for Best Comedy Album. They're also in some show on HBO.

Flight Of The Conchords will play the Bass Concert Hall at the University of Texas on May 7th for all the ladies of the world (and anyone else who'd like to purchase a ticket.) Tickets go on sale on February 6th via utpac.org. We checked venues in other cities for price info, and while we didn't find anything, we now know that if you check out the Conchords in Salt Lake City, you are not allowed to carry in a baby in your arms. Just so you're completely clear.

While you while away the hours until showtime, check for more Conchords news and info on What The Folk! or simply go to Sub Pop for a free MP3 of "Business Time".

What a bunch of whiny bitches. You all act like I just told you your Cabbage Patch Doll is ugly.

  • Grape Ape

I just wish they would have got this recognition when they were here years ago and as funny as they have ever been (6 of us watched them at the SXSW Aussie party). While they are still funny, its just not that same now that they are "cool"

  • nickc

never seen someone trying so hard to be "cool"

  • crasstopher

All the ladies they want a taste of my sugar lumps.

LoudMouth, John Kelso called, he wants his analogy back.

  • MIGGO

Ooo! Take that Kelso, you hack!!

I so look forward to the day LoudMouth actually approves of something mentioned on this site. Oh, who am I kidding, that day will never come.

I love these guys. If it's within the price range, I'm there for sure.

Their show started to lose steam towards the end of season one, because it became obvious they were just trying to fit their old songs into some sort of plot line...anyone been keeping up with the new episodes? Are they any good?

  • LoudMouth

These guys are about as funny as a box of chalk.

  • They're also in some show on HBO.

Loudmouth, quit being a spiteful little troll. You're just jealous of the success of others, and it is painfully obvious you want others to wallow in the same mire of self loathing and regret.

    Ain't drinkin' it, playa

I don't think they're funny either, but I'd rather sit through one of their shows than read your annoying comments.

  • I had no idea that a box of chalk was absolutely hilarious, but I'll take your word for it!
