MyFoxAustin generated the nifty Google Maps mashup above, which uses data from Austin Police Department to show the top bars responsible for serving DWI drivers.
Disappointingly, vying for first place are Austin's two most popular gay bars (Rain, Oilcan Harry's), while the rest of the venues were largely clustered around the Warehouse District and Sixth Street. Red River was mostly missing from the list.

Interesting. I would have though that bars/restaurants in the Arboretum area would have more DUIs.
We know what we're doing on Red River.
Disappointing? Try unsurprising. I've never been to Rain or Oilcan Harry's, but in my experience gay bars, particularly the ones geared towards the younger crowd, seem to have a policy of serving however much, to whomever wants it.
-Wes: Cops rarely patrol the Arboretum. I honestly can't ever remember seeing one there now that you mention it.
