In keeping with the experimental and freeform philosophies at the heart of Business Deal Records and OK Mountain, the end of last year saw a project called the "Band Lotto" come to fruition using members of Business Deal-associated artists including members of Finally Punk, The Carrots, Best Fwends, Belaire, Pataphysics and many more.

With thirty-three musicians involved total, these individuals were split into nine bands at random. Also at random, the new bands were assigned song topics and even what instruments to each musician would play ("You've never played drums? Too bad!"). In two months, every band wrote and recorded two songs, which was then put on a compilation.

Okay Mountain will be hosting a listening party for said compilation, which will also include some performances by some of the bands and a screening of some sort. This event precedes the actual cd release show, which will take place at Emo's on the 17th.
