Foot Patrol, Big Mess, Baby Got Bacteria at Room 710

Spend your Saturday getting footloose and fancy free with Foot Patrol, Austin's most danceable funk act devoted to podophilia. The duo, consisting of Hung Nguyen and T.J. Wade, also trade in heavier rock with their project Terroristic and hardcore rap with MC Terroristic. While the two work with many styles, they are arguably most enjoyable in their Prince-loving Foot Patrol incarnation, and even paid tribute to the Great Purple One on New Year's for the first ever Prince night at the Scoot Inn.

Speaking of tributes, taking the stage before Foot Patrol are Big Mess, a Devo cover band that formed during Halloween of '06 but who continue to make intermittent appearances every now and again.

Also performing are Baby Got Bacteria, a rock/funk project that often features multiple lead singers and costumes to further enliven their tunes. You should also be aware that Room 710 has recently changed their door policy. At select shows (including this one) entrance to through the side door is free, while the main door will still charge up front. People who just want to come in and drink will have the chance to hear what's playing before they pay full price, a nice concession to get more people in and more bands heard.
