KUT’s Annual Holiday Sing-Along & Tree Lighting
Sat., December 6
(512) Brewing Company (407 Radam, F200)
w/ John Aielli, free, 6 pm
[info]
Head down to the Capitol steps on Saturday, December 6 to be one of thousands celebrating the season with KUT's Eklektikos host, John Aielli. Aielli will be leading carolers through a songbook full of popular favorites between 6-7 pm, with the tree lighting to follow. This year's tree is a 40 ft. tall Juniper, which will be augmented by new Congress Ave. Holiday lights.

Congress Ave. and 2nd St. shopping district shops, restaurants, galleries and museums will be open late for the Congress Avenue Stroll, which will feature refreshments and activities for the entire family. The Austin Farmer's Market will be set up across from the Capitol grounds between 5:30-9 pm, where you can also donate non-perishable food to Caritas of Austin.

Since it's Austin, there will be live music provided by an eclectic group of Austin notables, including Golden Arm Trio, The Invincible Czars, McCallum Fine Arts Academy Orchestra and the Super Sonic Soul Squad. This Austin tradition is always worth bundling up for, so bring some canned goods and head downtown!

PARKING: Available for just $3 all day at the AMLI on 2nd parking garage (entrance on San Antonio between 2nd and 3rd Streets) and the AMLI downtown parking garage (entrance on Lavaca between 2nd and 3rd Streets) Park your car, then take the ‘Dillo to the Capitol! The Congress Avenue ‘Dillo will be available until 9:00 p.m. and cost just $.50 for two hours!
