The Rosebuds at Mohawk Saturday

Sick of leftovers and had enough of hearing about your inadequacies from family members? We’ve got the perfect excuse to flee on Saturday night. The Rosebuds, an adorable duo that bring a whole lot more to the table than candied yams and jello “salad”, will play outside at the Mohawk, reacquainting you with an activity that doesn’t (necessarily) require a spoon or fork: rocking out.

Both versatile and vibrant, The Rosebuds offer spunkiness without being annoying. The resulting sound is a sophisticated mixture of adolescent vocals and elaborate musicality similar to Band of Horses. Their latest project, Life Like, shows growth and derivation from previous poppy dance albums. Saturday night is bound to funnel all these sounds together into one stellar performance.

A couple of local openers will be there, including Ovenbirds and Masonic, a soft-core sappy electronic joint. Join us for what promises to be a pleasant evening to set the mood for the ChrismaHanuKwanzakah season.
