Strap It On: SXSW '09 Already Swinging

Some of us haven't really caught our breath from Fun Fun Fun Fest, but that's just too damn bad because it's already time to start flipping out over various top 10 lists and yes, SXSW.

This year, the music portion of the festival will take place between Wed., March 18 and Sunday, March 22. On Friday, they released the names of nine performers you can count on seeing in the spring, which means we're going to have to start keeping up with our list. Between now and March, posts about SXSW will include (below the cut) our usual list of confirmed bands as well as links to their site. For now, there's just the nine, but we anticipate hearing a bit more even before the new year.

We already mentioned that a Bonnie 'Prince' Billy appearance is likely, and the rest of the official list goes like this: Dent May and His Magnificent Ukelele, St Vincent, Beach House, Anni Rossi, Future of the Left, White Lies, Passion Pit, B.o.B and Sage Francis.
