Weird Weeds at Progress, Now With More Bass
Weird Weeds are continuing their month-long residency at Progress Coffee with a change-up for their second to last performance. First, the show's opener will be Precious Blood, the great pair-up of Amy Annelle of The Places and Ralph White. You can expect some characteristically classic folk music with a sharp twist.
Later, Weird Weeds will be joined for the first time by a bassist, transforming what has almost always been an experimental trio or duo into a quartet for real. Here's what the Weeds have to say: "Our new bassist's name is Lindsey [Verrill], she plays in a bunch of bands like Some Say Leland, Larkspur, and the McMercy Family and she sounds awfully good as a Weird Weed, if we do say so ourselves... and we do."
