Team Fabrication Fashion Extravaganza 6

Who isn’t in favor of mixing music with other forms of artistic and creative endeavors? Offering different forms of stimulation can bring the evening’s entertainment to the next level, much like adding a strawberry to a glass of champagne steps things up a notch. Music and comedy is getting common. Music and art isn’t quite done enough. This weekend, it’s time for fashion and music to collide at Team Fabrication’s Fashion Extravaganza #6 at the Mohawk on Saturday.

The event will feature fashion by JeNReA and Elfgirl. Also, at the event the winners of the awards for Austin’s Most Fashionable in 2008 will be announced. There are categories for band, photographer, venue, publication and many more. Til We’re Blue or Destroy are helping lead the musical side of the event with their digitized, robo guitar rock and melodic indie pop. Booher and the Turkeyz will also be contributing with the sounds of this Austin indie super group comprised of members of Zykos, Zookeeper and Frank Smith. With Synthesizers, glockenspiel, samples and a head full of dance rock and eerie saxophone tunes, The Laughing will be helping grease those hip joints. Fuzzy crunches, distorted vocals, blips and bloops, and electronic beats will be Neiliyo’s contribution. All of this, combined with some DJs and a crowd full of fashion-hungry music fans makes for one action-packed, cultured evening.
