You seriously think it's "sad" that these kids failed the class because they willingly broke the rules? Maybe if more professors cared this much about teaching their students the right and wrong way to do things you would have learned how to use punctuation and grammar.

"I will promptly and publicly fail and humiliate anyone caught lying, cheating, or stealing." it is okay to stick to your guns, but i think the humiliate part when i bit too far... these kids already failed the course, that is pretty sad in and of itself. if it were me, i would state that the dishonesty would be discussed with whomever was footing the college bill; that way everyone wins!
