Election Night: Where's the Party At?

Reminder: VOTE TODAY! Polls are open in Austin until 7pm. Even if you are just waiting in line at 7pm, you will get to vote. You can check with Google or with the Travis County Clerk's office to find your polling place.

Now that you have voted (and picked up your freebies rewarding you for participating in our democratic process), perhaps you are wondering where you can watch the election results with people of like mind. Here are some options for you:

• Travis County Democratic Party Election Night Party @ the Driskill, 7pm-midnight. Expect the hotel to be packed with Dems excited that this is actually happening, y'all. You might catch a glimpse of local pols such as Rep. Lloyd Doggett and State Sen. Kirk Watson, among others. Bonus: free WiFi. [ITPT]
  
• Travis County Republican Party Election Night Watch Party @ Third Base Bar & Grill, 7pm-? At this location, there will be plenty of screens to choose from. No word on any local politicans showing up. [Travis County Republican Party]
  
• Election Night Results Viewing & Networking Mixer @ The Studio, 6pm-? Sponsored by Urban Life & Style (along with many other local organizations), this viewing party will include a free buffet. [Urban Life & Style]
  
• Drinking Liberally Election Night Party @ The Dog & Duck Pub, 6:30pm. This group will be meeting in the beer garden, likely doing as their name suggests. Free WiFi! [CultureMob]
  
• Scholz is hosting their usual Election Night Watch Party, 7pm. [Scholz Garten]
  
• You could also spend Election Night at the Alamo @ Alamo South Lamar, 6:20pm. So far, it's not sold out. $5 buys you a food/drink voucher. [Alamo Drafthouse]
