Cold War Kids Embrace Loyalty @ Emo's Tonight
It's been nearly two years since we've heard any new material from the Cold War Kids, but now they're back, and with new kicks. Tonight at Emo's, the band will be shouting out songs from their new album, Loyalty to Loyalty, which presents a fresh departure from typical Cold War material. Some tracks have a heavier, almost ominous tone which might leave some wondering if the group can maintain the high-energy, ear shattering vocals that made Robbers and Cowards so contagious. But a craving for classic CWK hyperactivity will be fulfilled with, "Something is Not Right With Me," the first single from the new album.
Hopefully the boys will be able to maintain their southern rock stamina with the presentation of their delayed sophomore album. Alabama-native A.A. Bondy should help set the stage during his opening act with sweet, soulful ballads. A.A. Bondy has a raw but powerful sound which should nestle up nicely with Cold War Kids. Uber-eager fans bought up all the tickets weeks ago, but we may be able to help you out: enter below for a chance to win two tickets to this show.
