This week, the show launches its fourth season with an episode that really speaks to us. Its primary focus is something we're calling 'new urbanism' -- the modern way in which we live, work and play in a downtown setting. For many, the co-mingling of activities in these central locations lends itself to a centerpiece: some event or activity that draws many from the community inward as a group. In Austin, there's no doubt that live music acts as our centerpiece, and the premiere of DOWNTOWN will be honing in on the phenomenon, featuring local bands like White Denim and familiar faces like the team at Transmission Entertainment. Attention will also be given to the ways in which Austin has risen to the challenge of the digital age of music.
Because the first episode speaks so directly to the community we're a part of, and since it's coupled with what is clearly going to be a fantastic party, we'd like to send you and a guest to Deville for free:
