JK, obviously. Everyone knows that Swiss music festivals suck, the food is uniformly terrible, and good luck trying to find Lone Star, cowboy. Austin's own Fun Fun Fun Fest is where it's at, and all the cool kids know it. This year, we're trying to one-up the awesomeness that was last year's debauched hootenanny, which will be difficult but doable. Fx3 '08 features sets by last year's critical darlings The National, the unpredictable and downright cute Deerhoof, our crazy little brothers in ...And You Will Know Us..., the how'd-they-get-famous-oh-that's-how Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the always "Feist"-y St. Vincent, the absolutely legendary and perennially hilarious Dead Milkmen, the up-and-coming Annuals, and countless others including a quadruple scoop of great local acts like The Black Angels, 'Til We're Blue or Destroy, and Ume. In all honestly, there's not enough witty rejoinders to do them all justice, so we're not going to try. All that matters is that you show up and rock out with us and the rest of Austin. We recommend both days, as it's going to pure, molten frustration to try and choose between the two if you're thinking of cheaping out.
