Trailer Space Records Grand Re-Opening Benefit
Friday, October 17th
Trailer Space (1401 Rosewood Ave # A)
$5pm, Doors at 9pm
[info]
It is a distinct glory that Trailer Space and its ilk demonstrate to us these tried-and-true Texan traits, but it should also be mentioned that they're dying by the thousands, and not just in Austin. Withering on the vine like unpicked jalapeƱos in the midst of a decades long drought, record stores and live venues alike are an endangered species, as most of you already know. It's up to fans to step up and show their support if we want to have any of these crazy characters left in our city, and that's exactly what we have the opportunity to do this evening.
For just $5 bucks - as all proceeds go to the cause - you can be part of Trailer Space Records' Grand Re-Opening this January! You get more bazoom for your buck than just an awesome record store springing back from the ashes with the audacity of a blind-drunk phoenix on a Jaeger tear, you get to catch a killer show including Cartwright, Harlem, Teeners, The Crack Pipes, and a band who was there to open TS's doors on the first day: The Strange Boys! You hear it over and over again, but don't really know how to fully demonstrate it: "SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SCENE."This, my friend, is the way to do just that.
