Spearheaded by Rare Austin Magazine and sponsored by austinist among others, the first Austin Restaurant Week kicks off this Sunday night. The much-anticipated culinary event is based on a simple concept: fine dining at reasonable prices. For a total of eight tasty days (Austin Restaurant Weeks sounded a little silly) diners are invited to enjoy three-course prix-fixe menus for $25-$35 in venues all around Austin.

Austin Restaurant Week showcases more than 50 of Austin's best restaurants, including The Woodland, Roaring Fork, Sagra, 34th Street Cafe, and Starlite.

Reservations aren't required, but they're certainly recommended. Just check for your favorite restaurants, check out the menus, give the restaurant a holler and make yer reservation!
