Gory Homecoming Tee Infuriates LBJ High School Parents
Some parents of LBJ High School students are "outraged" over the t-shirt design, shown above, intended to show school spirit in advance of a big football game against Reagan High School on Halloween.
The shirt shows the LBJ mascot as a grim reaper who is cutting the head off of the Reagan mascot. Some LBJ officials are claiming the T-shirt is just trying to drum up school spirit since the game is on Halloween. However, some parents are not happy with the shirt's message. Parents claimed that they try to teach their children that violence is not the answer and this shirt is not helping sell their message.
What do you think, Austin?

I think that mascot HATES that cowboy, that's what I think. I also think that I need one of those tshirts. Lighten up old folks!

Me thinks that the ultra-conservative McPalin lovin' parents need to chill out. Really, do they not have something better to concern themselves with?

I understand you're probably not really around many conservatives, but really?

I doubt a university would endorse it.

Some parents of LBJ High School students need to remove the sticks from their asses and get on with life.

I'm mostly concerned with how ridiculously unattractive that shirt is. I think my eyes are bleeding now...

Well, at least the rat (or whatever that thing is) isn't violating the corpse. That's where I draw the line.

In my experience, the folks spouting "violence isn't the answer" and getting overly worked up about toy guns, etc. aren't conservative, much less "ultra-conservative". The McPalin crowd doesn't have a lock on all of the busy-bodies out there.

If these parents think this is what is going to spur violence in the community, then a reality check is in need. All one has to do is look at the rate of increase of kills in the last 4 Rambo movies. Leave itchy and scratchy alone. WILD CARD BITCHES!!!

Would you want your child wearing this shirt?
[ report this ]
Nick: Sure, why not? I wore worse when I was a kid.

I'm gonna have to back up Scooby here in the assertion that pissed-off parents fall on either side of the invisible line. There's always a litmus test for which sector you're dealing with though, and you can reasonably expect to piss off most of them by saying "Jesus is gay" or something similar.
All of which is unrelated to the matter at hand I realize.

White Parents ,of course need to shut the fuck up and go to Westlake
