Benson Signs With Bengals

Beleaguered former Texas running back Cedric Benson signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, just days after two Travis County grand juries declined to indict him on alcohol-related charges stemming from a pair of arrests earlier this summer. The Chicago Bears released Benson after his arrests, but he had not been offered work until the Bengals lost DeDe Dorsey to injury on Sunday. Benson will back up starter Chris Perry on Sunday when Cincinnati travels to Dallas to face the Cowboys.
