ACL Fest: Neko Case Delivers Dreamy Rhythms

Playing on the coveted shady stage of AMD, Neko Case presented a romantic steady pulse. Most songs sounded similar and melted together, but Neko's voice remained strong and powerful throughout each song. With flawless sustainability, she kept her fans swaying and singing along. Neko's peaceful country twang is probably best for taking a nap under a shady tree and not for an energetic festival crowd. A diamond in the rough, she had a following of people craving her sound rhythms and delicate harmonies. While she did try to spice up the set at the midway point with some new songs, Neko is probably best to hear in a more intimate setting. --Candace Birkelbach
