ACL Fest: Man Man Brings the Chaos

Controlled chaos is an under statement for the performance that Man Man brought to the stage. These guys totally owned the stage presenting a gypsy rock mess of instrumentals. Alternating between apple shakers, kazoos, wood blocks, brass chimes, the flute, saxophone, marimba and fog horn, the party on stage was felt by all. The men pranced on stage wearing all white, cutoffs and war paint included, and wasted no time before banging furiously on neon drum sets. Band members paraded across stage, dancing and climbing on the set, which drove the crowd even more insane. The energy of this group is unmatched by any, screaming at the top of their lungs throughout the set while laughing and bobbing their heads. Making complex syncopation flow like a well-oiled machine is a technique exclusive to Man Man. Refusing to take breaks between songs, they kept everyone on their feet, stomping and clapping. It was amazing to see such talented artists enjoying their music while maintaining rhythm and balance throughout the set. If you can handle a possible kitchen spoon or drum stick flying into the air, you should appreciate this insane specimen.
