Don't Miss: Car Stereo (Wars) Official ACL Afterparties

Chris Rose, aka Car Stereo (Wars), has kept himself quite busy since releasing his debut full-length The Bandit, a busty, limber little album full of Rose's mash-ups. Between numerous sets at Beauty Bar, Fun Fun Fun Fest last year, and a Mashup of some of ACL 2008's big name artists, he's managed to put together a special treat (with local flair) for Austin City Limits weekend:

Check out his remix of Spoon's "Rhythm & Soul," and be sure to check out at least one of his aftershows happening at Emo's Lounge Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are just $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 10 p.m., so hurry down to Red River from Zilker park and make sure your dancing shoes are on!

Yeah, but then again, the term "Car Stereo Wars" was around more than a decade before they formed. Car stereo competitions during the domination of DJ Magic Mike, woofers and rattling rear view mirrors. So maybe CSW out of Aussie land isn't as original as you'd like to beleive. Isn't this world big enough for 3 CSW's?

FYI...this isn't the real Car Stereo Wars from Australia...this is Chris Rose who stole the name after the real Car Stereo Wars appeared at SxSW in 2001.
