Ticket Giveaway: Love, Perfect, Change

Perhaps we're a bit on the inside, but we think it's nevertheless obvious that the talent behind NxNW Theatre is a tenacious bunch. They aim high, in more ways than one. Their ultimate goal is to someday create a (desperately needed) theatre space in the "South Dallas" region of Austin. For the time being, they're cranking out fantastic—and lauded—productions. In yesterday's announcement of this year's B. Iden Payne nominations, NxNW picked up three acting nominations for Five Women Wearing the Same Dress and an Outstanding Youth Performance nod for Rough Night at the North Pole.

Their fall opener is I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, kicking off tomorrow night at the Hideout. This longest-running off-Broadway show (still going strong at NYC's Westside Theatre) is effectively a revue—or a "musical celebration of the modern-day suburban mating game," if you please. Love Perfect Change famously covers "everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit." That's a lot of ground! But with 19 scenes, 21 songs, and a cast of four outstanding actors with amazing pipes, we're expecting an evening of fast-paced, high-energy hilarity.
