Hope Andrade did nothing but hold down a chair on the Texas Transportation Commission and the Governor rewarded her by making her Secretary of State. Wow.

Does anyone else think that is strange that the Gov provided high-tech checks for sex offenders, but not cots, blankets, or enough food to go around?

I mean, we saw pics of kids sleeping on hardwood floors without any blankets and food lines running out of food 2 thirds of the way through.

But we had enough resources to operate "Operation Safe Shelter" and make sure that John M (above), as well as "registered sex offenders who completed the terms of their parole have been turned away from shelters."

Come on, Judy Maggio, look a little deeper before you broadcast "Police say he has violated his probation by being in the shelter where children were also living."

Look at any news story; he was supposed to be taken care of by "prison justice", right. How did he survive? It's just not right that he did his time without the expected cell block justice of a shank in the liver.

It's a fucking hard floor with no bedding, but the state says he should have just drowned in the storm.

Couldn't we just get to the point and say he is violating his probation by living while children are living?

I guess the lack of food and a simple air mattress for hundreds of evacuees unfortunate enough to end up in Austin doesn't make news like a "sex offender" who violated parole by deciding not to drown.
