Watch KLRU's Downtown Online

If you've never seen KLRU's brilliant documentary program "Downtown", you're in luck--the first three seasons of the locally-produced show are now available for viewing online. And for your convenience, they're separated into bite-sized segments and organized by category (which makes them perfect for lunchtime or study-break viewing).

After three seasons, "Downtown" has continued to impress with its lively, diverse, up-close-and-personal slices of Austin life. A co-production of Action Figure, KLRU and the Downtown Austin Alliance, the show has covered topics including local arts, business, history, sports and more. The show is so broadly entertaining that earlier this year it was even picked up by San Antonio's Public Broadcast station, KLRN.

And holy awards! Last year, the show earned three Lone Star EMMY Awards including "Community Affairs-Feature/Segment", "Arts/Entertainment-Program Feature/Segment" and the "Texas Heritage" award. It has also won the Austin Chronicle's Reader's Choice Poll for "Best Locally Produced TV Show", the 2007 "Liveable City Vision Award" and the 2008 Envision Central Texas "Raising Public Awareness" Community Stewardship Award.

Long story short: it's good. Watch it here.
