I'm still amazed that people can't see that Palin must have no self respect for herself. She is not "allowed" to talk to the press or even speak her own words at any events and if anyone thinks she will have any input if they get in office they're crazy. A simple ploy to distract the simple minds from the real issues.

Go ahead and laugh, Ryan. In the meantime McCain-Palin are pulling ahead in the polls. The Republican base has been reinvigorated by the Palin nomination and at the same time the public is burning out on Obama. I love it! :)

What does a community organizer do exactly? I'm still stumped by that one. He can tell a damn good speech, though. Maybe after he loses the election he become a motivational speaker. I'd pay $5 to hear him pump me up.

Wes, it's more like I am endlessly entertained by the unfolding scandals. Let's run down some of my favorites that aren't personal/family related:

Firing the town librarian and asking about banning books

Keeping a state run dairy open long enough to sell it to a political ally

Trying to get her former brother-in-law fired because she's the governor damn it!

Laughing at radio hosts calling Lyda Green (a republican state senator) a bitch, a cancer, and fat. Why didn't she play the sexist card then?

And we are only in week one! This is so great, it's the gift that keeps on giving. In the words of republican Peggy Noonan (oops, that MSNBC mic is live!) - its over! And "this is, pardon me, political bullshit." But wait there's more, "Is she the most qualified woman? No." You can't make this up, folks.

cram, you'd be surprised. You still see Naderites insisting there was no difference between Bush and Gore quite often.

Didn't we learn our lesson about getting back at politicians by voting for Ralph Nader in 2000?

I think that they're afraid of all the reactionary people that will vote for McCain in order to get a woman closer to the seat of President. I'm not saying that all of the Hillary supporters are reactionary, but from other blogs I've been reading it would seem some are moving to McCain just because Obama disrupted the plan of Hillary and her supporters and they're pissed. Personally I don't think putting us through another 4 years of bad policy and decision making is a great way to get back at Obama, but apparently there are enough out there who believe it is.

I think it's more that I've pissed on homeless people that had more leadership experience than she does.

  • davetx

I think it's more a case of scared shitless by the thought of having her holding a position in the White House.

  • Wes

Judging by the reaction in the blogosphere it appears that Obama supporters are scared sh!tless by Palin. :)

  • ConanTheLibrarian

"This kitten has claws" indeed! Her partisan take no prisoners approach to small town politics shows a real Iron Maiden or Queen Bitch is about to be let loose on the political scene.

By the time the First SNL show of the season premieres, Palin will have provided enough material for a Tina Fey Cameo appearance on the show as Palin.

And let us not forget her military experience as boss of the Alaska National Guard keeping all those Innuit terroists away from the Pipline, like W's experience keeping Charlie out of the skys over the Gulf Coast.

Remember to point out to your friends who think living next to Russia qualifies as foreign policy experience that Moscow is where all diplomacy happens, and that's only 300 miles closer to Anchorage than it is to New York City.
