Join Cantanker Magazine, Austin’s streetwise savvy contemporary arts publication, for an opening reception to celebrate the release of Issue 6: Transitions, their second annual summer juried art catalog, at Big Medium Gallery (formerly Bolm Studios) today from 8-11PM.
UT alumna and independent curator Leona Scull-Hons serves as this year’s juror, and has chosen works by 21 artists from across the nation to explore the issue's theme of “change as a constant.” The catalog's release coincides with a group exhibition featuring traditional and new media works by the selected artists. Say farewell to summer at this relaxed, annual event with art, art fans, cold beverages, fresh watermelon, and hot-off-the-press issues of Cantanker.
