Students look warily at their books and the days are getting shorter, but summer lingers in Austin. Armed with both art and air-conditioning, Women and Their Work Gallery offers a respite from, and celebration of, the dripping heat that defines these months. The Summer 4 Ever Party is the perfect chance to check out Katie Pell's interactive sculpture exhibition, “Tiny Acts of Immeasurable Benefit,” and the mind-bending visuals of the multimedia head-trip courtesy of Austin Video Bee. With minds satisfactorily stretched, punk/crunk/funk songstress Tummy Toast will unleash heart-pounding electro-beats that will have artsy types dancing as hard as the summer sun will allow.
