You Can't Register to Vote Over the Phone

In this exciting election year, it seems those ingenious identity thieves have discovered a new way to go after the public. The Central Texas Better Business Bureau is warning that some are calling/e-mailing people saying they can help them register to vote as a way to get their social security numbers. Hopefully enough people know that you have to sign the voter registration form yourself, and can only do so in person or by mail (and you aren't required to provide your full social security number on the form). If you're already registered, you can change your address online as long as you still live in the same county. [KEYE]
